I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hostel called Albergue Camino Do Sar. The family who manages the hostel truly goes above and beyond for their guests. Everything was meticulously taken care of with attention to detail and personal touches that exceeded my expectations. I was especially grateful for the gluten-free breakfast they provided, which was truly exceptional. I also highly recommend trying out the stone salt foot bath they offer, it's a delightful treat. The hostel is conveniently located on the Camino path and just a short walk to the city center. In the mornings, they provide coffee and tea, which is a nice touch. Outside the hostel, there's a stone tub where you can soak your feet, and the staff even provided Epsom salts. The entire facility is clean, and they have a clothesline available for drying clothes. I was impressed with the well-equipped kitchen and the spotless premises. The bunk beds have curtains for privacy, giving you a sense of personal space. Maria, the owner, was incredibly kind and helpful. For anyone walking the Camino Portuguese, this hostel is a fantastic choice.

    Nothing, everything was great! 😊

The value for money at this hostel was excellent! The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with great amenities like a good shower and a well-equipped kitchen. The location was convenient, being on the Camino path and a short walk to the city center. The staff, especially the long-haired male receptionist, were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to assist with anything I needed.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was having a wider variety of food options to choose from.

The rooms are nicely heated and even come with extra blankets for added comfort. The breakfast is prepared in advance, allowing guests to start their day off right.

The hostel is a bit of a walk from the city center, which may make some guests feel nervous walking back alone at night.

Excellent value for money, with spacious and comfortable bunk beds equipped with curtains, reading lights, and plugs. The location was convenient, right on the Camino path and a short walk to the city center. The friendly staff provided a cozy coffee and tea station in the morning. The highlight was the stone foot bath with Epson salts, a refreshing treat after a long day of walking. a clean and welcoming facility with great amenities.

More breakfast choices would have enhanced the experience.

We had a great stay at this albergue. The location was perfect, right on the Camino and close to the center of town. The hostel was clean and the bunks were comfortable with privacy curtains. The kitchen was well-equipped and there were even free cakes, biscuits, and oranges. The owner was kind and helpful, making our experience even better.

Limited soap and no paper towels in the bathroom made proper hand-washing difficult.

The hostel had a friendly and helpful staff who were always willing to assist. the cleanliness of the hostel was outstanding, making for a comfortable stay. the breakfast provided was fantastic, with a good variety of options to choose from. the location of the hostel was excellent, being directly on the Camino and just a short walk away from the town center.

The shared bathroom setup was a bit unusual and may not be to everyone's preference. There was also a lack of soap and paper towels, which made proper handwashing difficult.
